PS1018KN002 is an NSK Megatorque PS Series (PS1 compact size) direct-drive motor. PS1 is the compact size of the PS series (dia. 100 mm) with three heights covering 6–18 N·m.
Why zero-backlash direct drive: Megatorque motors drive the load directly without gears or belts — no backlash, no wear parts, no accuracy degradation over time, fast settling, low noise and maintenance-free. The large hollow bore (35 mm on this model) passes cables, piping or laser paths straight through, simplifying machine design. Widely used in semiconductor/electronic-component inspection, vision processing and rotary indexing stages.
