MICI/micrometer screw drive
MICI 80
Product Description
The micrometer screw piezo drive MICI 80 is well suited for improving the positioning accuracy of linear stages.
The MICI 80 is a piezoelectrical actuator which, in combination with a micrometer screw is mounted onto a linear stage. Pre-adjustment is done by the measuring screw and the final fine adjustment is made by the MICI element. Typically the piezo driven system generates forces up to 216 N. The resolution is in the sub-nm range.
The major advantage of the micrometer screw piezo drive MICI is that it can be easily installed into an existing system to achieve sub-nm resolution. The travel range of the micrometer screw should be shorter than the travel range of the linear stage.

FAQ
How do I choose between open-loop and closed-loop versions?
Choose closed-loop when you need absolute positioning accuracy and repeatability (e.g. measurement, alignment). Open-loop is more cost-effective and responds faster when you only need relative fine motion or scanning, or when your system already has its own feedback.
Can I test the unit before deciding?
Nahshon is the exclusive distributor of piezosystem jena in Taiwan and keeps commonly used demo units available for scheduled testing, with Chinese-language selection support and direct access to factory engineering.
How do I confirm pricing and lead time for MICI 80?
Add MICI 80 along with your stroke, load and accuracy requirements to your inquiry list, and we'll help confirm the selection and reply with the factory quote and lead time.
