The NOVA5 Stepper Controller is the stepper motor control module of the NOVA5 bus architecture. Its sine-wave output with up to 256 micro-steps provides smooth, low-vibration motor operation.
The module offers two bipolar phase outputs with up to +/-0.4 A per phase and a voltage swing of -4 V to 4 V. Velocity mode, absolute position mode and relative position mode are supported, with adjustable, speed-dependent output current. I/O includes positive and negative end switches (S1, S2), an emergency-off switch (S3) and an analog input with 12-bit resolution (S4).
The preferred configuration can be stored in non-volatile memory. Executable configuration software with GUI and NOVA software examples for Microsoft Windows (32/64 bit) are provided. Measuring only 54 x 33 x 16 mm and weighing 36 g, the module is easy to embed into equipment.
