Product Description

The MS30 is the all-round miniature piezo inertial drive translation stage of Mechonics. This version provides 30 mm of travel on a 30 x 52 mm footprint, with a height of 12.5 mm and a mass of only 32 g. It is widely used for microscope stages, optical alignment and automated micro-positioning.

The stages can be stacked directly into XY and XYZ combinations without adapter plates. The maximum velocity is 1.2 mm/s and the bearing force (Fy, Fz) is 30 N. The series also offers 8 mm and 18 mm travel versions as well as vacuum, UHV and measuring (closed-loop capable) editions; with the CU30CL controller a closed-loop resolution of 50 nm is achieved.

For measurement and machining equipment that need high positioning accuracy, choose the ground-finish C3/C5 grades; for general material handling and automation mechanisms, the rolled-finish C7 grade is sufficient and offers a cost and lead-time advantage.
